The first church in the Bible (Acts 2) was a community of believers who devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayer.
FIRE Church NL believes that being a church is not about a building or what we do on a Sunday. We believe that the Bible gives us a clear picture that the church should be a source of constant encouragement and support from a fellowship of believers. We are a fellowship, a community, and Sunday service is just one part of what we do. We believe in 24/7 Christianity and live lives fully for the glory of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
The first century apostles were more than just casual followers of Jesus. They were completely sold out to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to proclaiming His glory. A crucial part of that Gospel is Christ’s body--His church.
In Acts 1:14, right before Pentecost, Luke writes that the apostles, “...all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication…” They were unified together under the banner of a single cause, namely, Jesus Christ.
At FIRE Church NL, we are passionate about building a Spirit-led, thriving community that is devoted to building up one another in love and serving the Lord in truth. "As iron sharpens iron" is only really becoming reality when we spend time in serving each other in things like preparing and sharing meals but also in doing the dishes. The Lord looks at the true motivations of the heart and seeks to let His glory shine through us. This means to be submitted to Him in total surrender, not having our own agenda standing in the way. Jesus Himself showed this to us by bringing up His twelve disciples and the first church in Acts 2 paints the picture.
FIRE Church NL is not your regular international church, but an international Community of believers who share one passion; to see His Kingdom come and His will be done in our nation and the nations!
